It is important to note that French property agents do not work in the same way as in the UK. Firstly their commission on a sale is greater than in the UK, normally around 5-10% of the property price. Agents rarely have exclusive rights to sell a property, due to this the owners feel that the more agents they have their property with, the more chances they have of selling it. As a result of this, we prefer to work with a small selection of agents allowing us to have a good working relationship built on mutual trust and respect.  This also enables us to obtain important information on each property, which we then pass onto our clients. 

Our sole aim is to look after you and to be constructive as well as objective, in the property suitability the location and keeping you focused regarding the budget and your initial priorities. Since we hope to maintain a good relationship with you, it is not in our interest to sell you a property of unsuitable investment, poor re sale value or is located in a bad area.

When we have found your ideal choice of property it is of the utmost importance that you are entirely happy with your choice and feel that all your requirements have been met by us. In the initial final stage we like to keep in contact with you to ensure the smooth running of you’re newly found acquisition and help you with any problems that may occur. 

The Search Process
Once we begin our search and send you the details for you to look through and discard those that you are not interested in, we will continue to do this until you contact us with your choice of the selected properties you would like us to view. We then view those properties take photographs and make detailed notes. Once we have completed this stage we may contact you immediately if we feel the property fits all your criteria in order that you do not lose the property otherwise, we will send you all the details and await your instructions.

The buying process
The buying process in France is very different from that of the UK, this can be at times frustrating, but with our help we like to make this experience an enjoyable and exciting time.

The first thing that you need to be clear about when wishing to purchase property in France is that you are buying in another country and ways of going about things vary enormously. Once we have selected a number of properties to visit together, we will arrange the appointments, so that no time is wasted when you visit France.
